Lucca Wider — On-Demand Presale

Introducing the Lucca Wider Boot, Available On-Demand

Since its inception, Maguire has been committed to designing products that resonate with its community, all while embracing a responsible approach to production. The introduction of the Lucca Boot in a wider calf size is no exception. Responding to consistent client requests for a broader fit in Maguire’s beloved two-in-one biker boot, the team has worked diligently to bring this style to life in a way that aligns with their small-batch, sustainability-first approach.

To create a comfortable, stylish boot for wider calves, the team began by analyzing calf size averages across our clientele and researching industry standards. This led to some adjustments and a redesign of the boot, which was then tested by a small group of friends of the brand to perfect the fit.

This expansion to our product line is offered on an on-demand basis—a thoughtful choice that reflects both our sustainability values and the realities of our business model. On-demand production allows us to bring this sought-after style to our clients while preventing excess inventory and minimizing material waste, thus helping us in our mission to stay as sustainable as possible. At this time, this approach also helps us manage the unique challenges of introducing new size options without compromising quality.

Because everyone deserves a perfect pair of high boots that doesn’t compromise on comfort or style. The Lucca Boot in wide-calf sizes is our latest step toward that goal.

Finding your size

How to measure:

  1. Check Boot Height/Shaft Height
With the help of a friend or a mirror, measure from the floor up to where the boot shaft will end on your leg. This helps ensure that the widest part of your calf aligns comfortably with the boot opening.
  2. Measure Your Calf
While seated, wrap a flexible measuring tape snugly around the widest part of your calf for the most accurate measurement. Repeat this for both calves, as they can vary slightly in size. Write down each measurement.
  3. Compare to Shaft Opening
The boot’s shaft opening should ideally be slightly larger than your calf measurement to ensure a comfortable fit. This additional space allows for easy movement and makes it easier to put on the boots. If your calf measurement is close to the shaft opening size, they may still fit well, as we've allowed for a bit of room in our sizing recommendations.
  4. Consider Socks or Pants
If you plan to wear thicker socks or tuck in pants, measure your calf with these on to get an accurate fit for your intended styling.
