Store Manager - New York & Brooklyn

Founded in Montréal in 2017, Maguire is a young and growing Canadian company that offers high-end footwear and accessories at fair and transparent prices. From product development through sales and customer service, we strive to do everything in-house and eliminate middlemen from the supply chain.

We opened our first boutique on Elizabeth Street in Nolita in 2022, followed by our second location on Berry Street in Williamsburg in December 2024.
Job Description
Reporting to the founders at the Montréal head office, the Store Manager will be responsible for all operations of our two New York boutiques. You will ensure smooth operation of the store and create the conditions for continual improvement in sales and customer satisfaction.
Tasks and Responsibilities
-Serve, welcome and advise customers in store;
-Manage and resolve local customer issues as they arise, with support from the customer service ambassador;
-Maintain merchandising and product presentation in store;
-Oversee inventory and inventory management;
-Take charge of hiring, training and managing boutique staff, in alignment with the vision and values of the company;
-Motivate and coach the sales team to maintain a high level of customer service;
-Fulfill online orders;
-Analyze productivity results for the store and relay to head office;
-Feed the product development and marketing teams with customer feedback;
-Maintain effective communication with head office, and arrange weekly meetings to this effect;
-Miscellaneous tasks related to operation and management of the boutique;
-Manage stylists and influencers visiting the stores, and help coordinate the organization and hosting of in-store events.
Skills and Requirements
-Experience in retail and staff supervision.
-A collaborative, positive, solutions-oriented team player.
-Dependable, responsible and autonomous.
-Demonstrated aptitude for sales and customer service.
-A strong familiarity with the world of fashion and the New York clientele.
-Demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship.
-Experience with Shopify is an asset.
